Summer Events

Website Update:

Members now have access to the online National 8(a) Association community. We have updated the login feature to include both profile and company information. A search engine will be available in September to find and connect with other members. The contract forms will also be uploaded later in September.

Please contact info@national8aassociation.org if you have any difficulties with login or your profile. Current users, beware that unless you are a paid member you no longer have log in access.


The National 8(a) Association has just finished up the 2010 Summer Conference in Anchorage, Alaska. Downtown Marriott Hotel provided a great conference facility for both the vendors and attendees. The biggest change this year was the match making session with the open form. The speed dating format went especially smooth. Thanks again to our sponsors, speakers and volunteers for making this event bigger and better! At 320 plus attendees, we exceeded our expectations.

Changes affecting your business?

On Oct. 28, 2009 the Small Business Administration proposed amendments to its rules affecting joint ventures, the mentor-protégé program, size determinations, 8(a) economic disadvantage thresholds, rules for Alaska Native Corporations, Native Hawaiian Organizations, and tribes.

On March 2, 2010 the U.S. Federal Court of Appeals, released the Court's decision in Mission Critical v. the United States.
