Bethani Clever

small business liaison officer, ge aviation


Bethani Clever is the Small Business Liaison Officer (SBLO) for GE Aviation.  She is responsible for working with the DoD, DCMA, NASA, and contract teams regarding GE’s Small Business Subcontracting Program.  In this role, she leads the efforts to meet critical small business reporting and growth goals for our Department of Defense Subcontracting Plans.  

Bethani received her Chemical Engineering Degree in 1997 from the University of Kentucky.  In her 20 year GE career, Bethani has held roles of increasing responsibility in Engineering, Quality, Six Sigma (Engineering and Commercial roles), Distribution, Sourcing, Supplier Development, and Compliance.

Bethani began her career at GE Appliances in Louisville, Kentucky as a Product Design Engineer, then became a Black-belt (Design Engineering), Product Quality Engineer, and Quality Program Leader NPI (New Product Development).  She then moved into Distribution first as Quality Manager, then Region Manager for Appliance Delivery and Installation, and progressed to become the ACFC (Customer) Black-belt supporting The Home Depot.    

In 2008, she moved to GE Aviation as a Buyer/Contract Administrator supporting  Airfoils Sourcing.  She led projects for product development and delivery, including the GEnX Guide Vanes and the Albuquerque site transition.  Most recently, she worked on the Supplier Development Team finding and qualifying companies to do business with GE Aviation.
