Mr. deMers currently serves in the OASIS Program Management Office (PMO) in a variety of roles utilizing his expertise and experience as a Senior Contracting Officer in the Professional Services arena. These roles include but are not limited to Scope Reviews, Ordering Activity customer training outreach and consultation, regulatory and case law interpretation, pragmatic FAR compliance strategies, and overall procurement analysis for complex contracting challenges including SBA regulation compliances under Multiple Award Contract vehicles.
Mr. deMers brings more than 18 years of professional experience in the field of contracting and acquisition management to the GSA team. He is known for developing innovative approaches to complex contractual issues and solving challenging procurement policy barriers with pragmatic compliant solutions.
Mr. deMers began his career in acquisition at the Department of the Navy Acquisition Intern Program for Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) then moved on to GSA. Mr. deMers holds a Senior Contracting Officer Unlimited Warrant and has served in a variety of roles at GSA including a Lead Contracting Officer for both Multiple Award Schedules and Telecommunications Assisted Services, to Acquisition Subject Matter Expert under Program Operations for Professional Services.
Mr. deMers graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from the University of Washington and has achieved the highest FAC-C Level III certification in the acquisition field.
Mr. deMers lives in Federal Way, Washington with his wife and son where they all thoroughly enjoy living in the absolute present and never taking life too seriously.
