Procurement Manager, Sandia National Laboratories
Laura Lovato is a Procurement Manager whose team supports the Advance Science and Technology Mission area of Sandia. Laura’s Department manages 20% of the annual Procurement budget that flows through Sandia.
Prior to her current role, Laura was a Team Lead in the Streamlined Acquisitions Department, a Department she help establish in 2015. The objective of that Department is to provide the Laboratories with an effective and efficient means of acquiring goods and services valued at less than $250k (the Simplified Acquisition Threshold). During her 8-year tenure at Sandia, Laura has also served as a Subcontract Professional where she purchased products and services for Programs that made mission impacts worldwide. Laura’s previous supply chain experience includes three years as a Subcontracts Manager for Northrop Grumman Technical Services, where she supported a billion ($) dollar prime contract effort for facility management. Laura also served as a Small Business Liaison at both Los Alamos National Laboratory and Sandia National Laboratories. Laura is a Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) and Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), certified by the National Contractor Management Association. Laura also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from Project Management Institute.
