Matthew Fagnani (pronounced Fun-yah-nee) came to Alaska in 1979 with the military and was stationed at Eielson Air Force Base in Fairbanks. He served one tour.
His professional career spans 35 years of private sector business ventures with small and large companies. He has managed up to $200 million in revenue and as many as 600 employees. He has held numerous senior level executive positions with Alaska Native Corporations (ANC) and has had direct responsibility for companies operating in the oil and gas, transportation, mining, forestry, tourism, workforce development, remote fuel distribution and 8(a) federal contracting industries.
Fagnani has worked to build business opportunities for some of Alaska’s largest corporations and private industries, as well as training the next generation of Alaska’s workforce.
As CEO of a large Alaska Native corporation, he greatly appreciated the unique perspective of watching an Alaska Native corporation balance the need for economic prosperity with the passion for preserving cultural heritage, a quality education and their subsistence lifestyles. He also played a critical role in federal contracting, which contributes to their success.
Mr. Fagnani most recently served on the American Red Cross board of directors and the National 8(a) Association.
