Scott Mahorsky

President Mahorsky Group

Scott Mahorsky has been in the surety industry for 15+ years and is President of Mahorsky Group Inc. & Brick Procurement.   He began his career as a field underwriter for a small/medium bonding company.  After spending a few years on the underwriting side of the business, Scott made the transition to surety bond agent.  He was the Vice President of Sales and 33% owner of a small regional surety agency which he helped transform into an elite organization.  After a 10 year term as Vice President of Sales, he started Mahorsky Group Inc. (MGI).  MGI is a surety bond agency that operates nationally with a division focusing on bonding federal contractors with character and integrity.

In both the federal and standard construction arena, MGI works with contractors of various sizes and designations - from start-ups to large businesses.  With roughly 100 federal contractors, our agency has experience working with all SB set asides -  8(a) firms, SDVOSB, WOSB, HUBZone, Tribal, etc.  In addition, the principles of MGI have historical relationships supporting contractors with $500+ million annual revenue.  MGI’s strength is identifying contractors of character & integrity, maximizing their capacity, & providing them with single & aggregate bond programs substantially larger than the average surety market is willing to support. Brick Procurement is an evolving young company with the potential of significantly impacting the structure of federal contract acquisition.  Our focus is to provide the government with solid, qualified contractors – and our contractors with great opportunities. As President of Mahorsky Group & Brick Procurement, Scott’s main responsibility is to maintain the company’s highest level of professional integrity, increase profitability & lead external operations.  Included are improving relationships with our present customer and surety base, securing new business partners, overall management of our sales team and expanding MGI operations into new offices and geographic locations.

Scott earned a B.A. of Marketing from York College of Pennsylvania in 1993.  He’s married with 4 children and resides in Nazareth, PA.
